This past week went by so fast but was such a memorable week! The Class of 2011 girls were amazing and I will never forget any of the memories we had together (: Going to the John Hancock Observatory, the Zoo, Boys and Girls Club and the Skokie Library for the "Princess Ball" was so much fun and every time I hear 'Dynamite' I start dancing our opening number dance! Although I did not win the crown, I did earn the chance to meet new friends from all over the world! Thanks again to the Class of 2011 and God Bless you all!

On Sunday July 17th at 8/7c, there will be an amazing movie out on ABC Family called 'CyberBully'. This movie describes and tells the story of a girls who gets her profile hacked and becomes a victim of cyber bullying. 'CyberBully' is a great movie that I would encourage everyone to watch because everyone will now see how dangerous and serious cyber bullying has become throughout the world. With technology advancing and more and more people becoming accustomed to it, cyber bullying can take place at anytime and anywhere and many young teens and adults may become victimized by cyber bullies throughout the world. I suggest that everyone should watch what they type online because once something is posted, it may never go away; my motto is: "If you can't say it in person, then don't say it at all." I am definitely going to be watching this movie and encourage all of you to watch it as well! It's on ABC Family at 8/7c and I know that it would be a very moving movie so tune in tonight to watch it!

About two weeks ago, I got the internship for the USKAF (US Korea Art Foundation) and tomorrow is my first day working! For this foundation, the goal is to promote the Korean history and culture to those who are not familiar with it and to spread the Korean heritage to those who come visit the Smithsonian! As an intern/volunteer, my job is to give tours to visitors who would like to have a tour of specific galleries in the museum and most importantly to give them a tour of the Korea Gallery so that they can spread the knowledge of the Korean heritage to others. I will be working with this foundation for a year and will be giving tours throughout the Smithsonian several times a month! Wish me luck on my first day tomorrow and for those who are able to visit the Smithsonian in Washington DC, come down to the Korea Gallery and take a look at what the gallery has to offer!

Here are some pictures of my trip to NYC with my family. We visited the Metropolitan Museum of Arts where we visited the Alexander McQueen gallery; this gallery showcased tons of McQueen's designs and his unique style and usage of different types of materials were breathtaking! It seemed a bit queer at first but a lot of the dresses and outfits I saw throughout the gallery were beautiful!

|My younger sister, my very supportive mother, and me! My dad took all of the pictures so he wasn't in most of them. (;|
Since we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the "Alexander McQueen Gallery", these are just a couple of photos taken from the outside of the museum!

Today was my last day volunteering at HealthSouth Physical Rehabilitation Center and have enjoyed every minute of it! For the past 3 weeks, I have learned so much about the nursing industry, therapy industry, and much more! While at HealthSouth, I was able to help out all the staff members there and interacted with all of the patients by talking to them and joking around with them. The best part of my experience there was being with the patients and just making them smile by talking to them about their life and what they plan to do when they get out of the physical rehab center. Seeing their glowing smiles and cheerful attitudes everyday put a smile on my face and lighted up my spirit! Volunteering my time at HealthSouth has made me think about studying nursing in the future and has allowed me to learn what it feels like to actually work with patients and medicine. To all of the staff members and other volunteers at HealthSouth, thanks for all you do and all of the memories I've had with you will never be forgotten! Thanks again and I will most definitely be visiting you all at HealthSouth soon!

For the Fourth of July Weekend, my family and I decided to travel to New York City where we would celebrate our Great Aunt's Birthday! Many of our family member's came from all over the east coast (New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Virginia!) We all went out and about New York City and visited the Metropolitan Museum of the Arts where we saw many beautiful artworks and collections. The one part of the museum that I really enjoyed best was the "Alexander McQueen Fashion Gallery"where I saw the most interesting and creative dresses and outfits, both men and women apparel. Most of the outfits consisted of either feathers, horse hair, or lots of beading; my favorite outfit was the "Jellyfish Dress" which I thought was absolutely stunning! The museum as a whole was amazing and I had such a great time with my family and relatives! Anyways, I hope everyone has a safe and family-fun filled Fourth of July Weekend and for those International pageant contestants, only a few weeks left until the International Pageant in CHICAGO!!

Last week, I went to Tyson's Corner, VA and volunteered at the Korean War Veterans Dinner Party Presentation by telling the War Veterans about the dinner party and setting up tables with beautiful center pieces and other arrangements. I had the chance to meet and see so many Korean War Veterans and heard about some of their stories while they were in war. My grandpa, in fact, is a Korean War Veteran and was in the Korean War for about 2-3 years. Listening to my grandpa's stories and stories of other war veterans made me realize what a struggle and emotional time it really was; and so, I would just like to thank all the veterans for serving in the war and for all that they did!
